One of the appealing features to a Shar-Pei is the wrinkles. The folds of the skin serve a function if the dog ever gets into a fight since it will protect the animal from getting injured but many people find them attractive. The same goes for a bloodhound. For some reason the wrinkles in their foreheads make them appear to be studious, if a little forlorn. But humans, especially women, are not usually fond of lines in their face and therefore will search out the best wrinkle creams, doing whatever is necessary to stop the effects of time.
