For a business to stay current in today’s market it should accept credit cards. For that the business will need a company that has merchant accounts and does credit card processing.
Personally I have seen a few businesses offline that balk at accepting credit cards. There may be credit card terminals on site but the sales associate will try to convince you to pay with any other method. I have even had one person lecture me on the evils of credit cards. Anything I guess to try to keep me from paying with the card. Charges for accepting the cards, delays in payment and whatever other hassles are just a cost of doing business. A business must please the customer except in certain circumstances.
I have worked retail for many years even owning my own store. Back then it wasn’t computerized and we had the old style credit card machines. Those were a pain to use. Nothing like now. And the stores paid the charges due and dealt with any hassles. And business goes on.
